What Is the Suitable Accuracy Range for SMT Placement Machines?
SMT placement machine accuracy is a critical technical parameter. Different SMT placement machine manufacturers define different accuracy ranges. Generally, accuracy is expressed in three ways: placement accuracy, resolution, and repeatability.
SMT placement accuracy refers to the maximum offset between the center of the component to be placed and the corresponding position on the PCB. Typically, this value should not exceed 3%. Placement accuracy is a basic requirement for SMT placement machines to operate normally, quickly, and accurately.
A placement machine with low placement accuracy can only handle SMDs or various types of circuit assembly components. In contrast, a machine with high placement accuracy can place components with multiple leads and fine pitches, making it more suitable for the production of electronic equipment and military equipment.
